Hi, I’m Helen

Welcome and I’m so glad you’re here! My name is Helen and in my full-time world, I work on sustainability programs for a local government. While I’m obsessed with working to green the environment, I also love to be creative. MadebyHelen started as a hobby for documenting my travels and adventures, but encouragement from my friends  and family led me to where I am today.

For the past 8 years, I have been creating websites for small businesses and capturing memories for families in Northern Virginia, Washington DC, and Maryland through newborn and family photography. I am based in Northern Virginia and serve the surrounding areas including (but not limited to) Alexandria, Arlington, Falls Church, Fairfax, Mclean, Lorton, Potomac, Springfield, Kensington, Bethesda, Silver Spring, and the District of Columbia.
